One-phone games

One-phone games run on your device. Player nicknames, roles, choices, and progress stay in browser local storage or the app’s private device storage and are not sent to the game server. Starting a new table clears the previous saved game.

Room-code games

Online rooms send nicknames, secret roles, votes, and progress to the game service so devices stay synchronized. Use a nickname rather than a full name. Each device receives a random seat credential and only that seat’s private information. Rooms expire after 24 hours and are removed during routine cleanup.

Optional accounts and public reviews

Sign in with ODW is optional. When used, ODW provides an account identifier, email address, and optional display name. We use these for hosted-game history, review attribution, duplicate prevention, account actions, and moderation. Published reviews show the display name, rating, text, date, and verified hosted-game count. Reports are visible only to moderators.

You can edit or delete your review and delete the After Hours profile, hosted-game history, review, and reports from the account page. This does not delete your shared ODW account or Apple or Google purchase records.

Service delivery and purchases

Cloudflare and Sites deliver the service and process connection information such as IP addresses. Temporary hashed request identifiers limit excessive room requests. The app has no advertising and does not access contacts, the camera, or the microphone. Optional narration uses the device’s speech capability.

Commercial builds use Apple or Google for payment and RevenueCat to check and restore entitlements. Those services process purchase records, an app user identifier, and device/app information. Owens Digital Workshop does not receive full card details.

Your choices

You can play anonymously, play offline, use nicknames, turn narration off, clear a saved seat, and uninstall or clear device storage to remove local data. Keep online room codes within your group.
